Chrisha Favors

Camp & Environmental Education Lead

Chrisha is an educator, land steward, and lifelong outdoor enthusiast with a deep commitment to creating safe, welcoming spaces in nature for all communities. With Indigenous and Black roots, she brings an intergenerational perspective and a values-driven approach to cultivating outdoor experiences where everyone feels a sense of belonging and connection to the land.

She has been involved with KinCultivate’s summer camp programming since 2023 and now serves as our Camp & Environmental Education Lead. Her role supports both summer and seasonal programming focused on nature-based learning, environmental justice, and land connection. In addition to her work with KinCultivate, Chrisha coordinates programming for Oregon State University’s Master Gardener Program in Lane County.

Chrisha has been featured in multiple published collections highlighting Black and Indigenous voices in the outdoors and is passionate about sharing knowledge that reconnects people with the land. Whether leading outdoor experiences, mentoring youth, or foraging on her 13-acre property in South Eugene, she brings warmth, intention, and cultural care to everything she does.
