What does freedom look like in a community? Drop in for a Juneteenth collaborative art project with teaching artist Janique Crenshaw, presented in partnership with KinCultivate and the Albany Public Library. Participants will use mixed media materials to create individual squares reflecting on freedom, belonging, care, and being seen.
Each square will become part of a community Freedom Quilt honoring Black resilience and the many ways freedom can be imagined. This drop-in program invites all community members to take part in a creative way to honor Juneteenth together.
